Charlie prints on her nineteenth-century Imperial press, a lithographic press and a contemporary etching press. Her printmaking, like her paintings, is often inspired by coastlines and seascapes. She is also working on a series of lithographs which turn William Faulkner’s modernist novel As I Lay Dying into pictograms.

Her series of drypoint etchings on migration and frontiers was selected for the 11th Biennial International Miniature Print Exhibition in the USA. She was one of only four UK printmakers to have work chosen.
